Nokia has made a comeback this year with new Android budget devices and a reincarnation of the popular feature of the phone, the Nokia 3310. Although we have heard that the new phone will be launched around the end of Q2 this year, HMD Global could have something in The store for The Indian Market.
The company has sent out media invitations for a special event scheduled for May 8 in New Delhi, where it hopes to share details on when the new handsets, including the Nokia 3, 5, 6 and 3310, will reach the Indian market.
We have seen a lot of buzz around smartphones, especially the feature phone, especially since a number of European retailers listed the device as going on sale from April 28 onwards. However, HMD Global has stated that all retail listings are fake. They have not revealed any plans to send the device.
There was a list in India that appeared on the OnlyMobile retailer website and listed the device as "coming" at a price of Rs 3,899. Color options include Warm Red, Dark Blue, Yellow, and Gray.
A Nokia spokesperson we talked to said that all listings are unofficial and that HMD has not posted a timeline for it.
