Just need a day for Toyota SUV Fortuner reveal its next generation for the Indian market. The full-size SUV is expected to be lighter, add some more gizmos and get a couple of new eagerly awaited engine options.
The new Toyota Fortuner is a long-awaited update of the model currently available, which has been under renovation since its first release in India in 2009. The new Toyota Fortuner apparently takes its fundamentals Toyota Innova Crysta recently launched MPV.
Not only small improvements here, but a complete overhaul. The new Fortuner is expected to be lighter, and obviously looks better in terms of appearance, (this is to consider how we got the Innova Crysta).
Wait a redesign of the cabin, with ambient lighting, a larger infotainment touchscreen system and much more.
Reaching things that matter, there is finally some more engine options.
The new Fortuner will be available in petrol and diesel variants from launch day engines. The new SUV will be available with 2.8-liter diesel and a gasoline engine 2.7-liter engine. So this year we will not have a variant of the 2.4-liter engine.
The Toyota Fortuner 2016 will be available in six settings including a Gasoline 4 × 2 Transmission Manual, 4 × 2 Gasoline Automatic Transmission, 4 × 2 Diesel Transmission Manual, 4 × 2 Diesel with Automatic Transmission, 4 × 4 Diesel Transmission Manual and 4 × 4 diesel with automatic transmission. 4 × 2 models will be equipped with 17-inch wheels, with all-terrain tires, while 4 × 4 models come with 18-inch wheels, with tires road terrain.
