Xiaomi is ready to announce the next smartphone, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 before the long-awaited Mi 6.
According to a Gizmochina report, the launch may occur this month, before the launch of Mi 6, the flagship of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. There is no official statement by Xiaomi at the time of writing, but like previous releases, the launch of Pro 2 will be limited to China.
As previously reported, the smartphone will come with a polished metal finish on the back and jump the dual camera for a single lens with enhanced specs. It will incorporate a new sensor, the Sony IMX 362 12MP. This is a 1 / 2.55 "sensor with large 1.4μm pixels and double pixel autofocus. On paper it should be better than the 1μm pixels that are in the Mi Note and My Mix. The smartphone is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, but there is a chance that the company will be working on MediaTek Helio P25.
